A couple of days ago I’ve had a discussion with Kane Frisby about bad Design, and he used an episode of the “Simpsons” as an example for “how you shouldn’t do it” - Homer Simpson created a Car for the masses, “…powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball”.
Since this time I’m using the phrase “homerized” when I have to deal with bad-designed functionality. Ecofootprint explains perfectly how to avoid “Homerisation” when designing something together with the user.
